I came across this article today in the Baptist Press by Glenn Stanton. In it, he discusses his reasons to not allow two males or two females to marry. My problem with the article is that it throws out extreme examples and outright fallacies that serve to reinforce traditional feeling towards homosexuals. Sure, there are fringe elements of every group. Should all Christians be forced to carry the lunacy of Westboro Baptist Church? Of course not.
He makes statements like…
” Even today, saying a child has a right to a mother and father has been deemed hate-speech.”
